Safety Policy

Last updated: September 10, 2026

Zero tolerance for content sexualizing or endangering minors. CallMeChat prohibits, blocks, and reports any attempt to share, request, or produce content that sexualizes minors or facilitates harm to them, with no exceptions. Violations result in immediate account termination and referral to law enforcement and relevant authorities (e.g. NCMEC).

1. Our safety principles

CallMeChat is built for genuine, consenting adults to meet and talk. Every safety decision we make follows the same priority order: (1) prevent harm to minors and non-consenting individuals, (2) prevent illegal content and conduct, (3) protect user wellbeing, (4) preserve a space for open, respectful conversation within those limits. This page summarizes the rules that follow from those principles. It works alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

2. Age requirements & verification

3. Zero tolerance: minors

We prohibit any content, conversation, or conduct — in text, video, or shared images — that depicts, targets, or implies a minor in a sexual context, that romanticizes or normalizes child sexual abuse, or that could otherwise be used to sexualize, groom, or endanger a child. This includes attempts to disguise or evade this policy through claimed ages, roleplay, or ambiguous framing. We do not make exceptions for "just talking" or "not serious" framing. Violations are permanently banned and reported to NCMEC and/or relevant law enforcement as legally required.

4. Video & camera conduct

Because video chat happens in real time between two real people, extra care applies:

5. Recording & consent

Recording, screen-capturing, or screenshotting another user's video, audio, or messages without their explicit consent is prohibited, as is distributing such recordings anywhere else. If you believe someone has recorded or shared your conversation without consent, report it immediately using the options in Section 8.

6. Other prohibited conduct

Respectful, consensual conversation between adults on any legal topic is generally welcome, subject to the restrictions above.

7. How we moderate

We combine automated classifiers — applied to live video frames, audio, and text — with human trust-and-safety review for escalated or ambiguous cases. Some categories of high-risk content trigger an immediate, automatic call termination or account action rather than relying solely on after-the-fact review.

8. Reporting a concern

If you encounter a conversation or piece of content that violates this policy — or if you believe a minor is using the Service — please report it immediately:

9. Enforcement & appeals

Depending on severity, enforcement can include call termination, feature restrictions, temporary suspension, or permanent termination — with immediate, non-appealable termination for content involving minors. For other enforcement actions, you may appeal through Support; we will review appeals in good faith but our decision is final.

10. User wellbeing

Meeting strangers online can be a great way to make a connection, but stay mindful of your own comfort and boundaries — you can end any conversation at any time, no explanation needed. If you or someone you know is in crisis, please contact a local emergency number or a crisis line in your country (for example, 988 in the US, or Samaritans at 116 123 in the UK).

11. Updates to this policy

We review and update this policy as our systems, regulations, and understanding of best practice evolve. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
